妈妈说，躺在这里的是我爹
他死的时候，石榴开始成熟

关于他的死亡有几个说法
最不可信的版本由官方趁黑编写
文法不通，被史学家嘲笑

妈说，因为政治
她的爱情提早打烊
我因而成了遗腹子
连带父姓，也被没收

妈说爹是教育家
用死亡的暗喻，让人民
在寒意中读懂了政府

妈妈说，躺在爹隔壁刚下葬的
是国阵政权，他的墓新修
说完嘴角微扬

三岁了，第一次
见到母亲的笑容

Ching Ming Festival 

Ma said, the one lying here is Pa.
When he passed, pomegranates were about to ripen.

How his death, had different doppelgangers.
The deceitfully untrustworthy version
written by the government in darkness;
Full of loopholes, ridiculed by historians.

Ma said, due to politics
her love chapter halted too hastily.
Thus I became a posthumous kid.
Even the family name, was confiscated, seized.

Ma said, my Pa was Educationalist
using his demise as metaphor, to educate the public,
to weather the government, better, in the chill.

Ma said, the one just buried lying beside my dad
was ‘The End’ of BN, its tombstone newly built.
She ended her line with a little gleam.

Three years old, tis the first time
I saw Ma. Smile.
